Gen.S.sisked whether it would be posśible to establieh a Polish officer at gen.E*s    charged with dealing with Polish

?.o.w. Gen.E.*s reply was that it would not be practicable, as he K. Q,.was too far behind and prisoners v/ere dealt with at once on the spot. Gen.W. said there existed a sub-conardssion whose task it was to deal with p.o.w*s. He dśd not know, however, whether Poles were r-epresented in it. Anyhow that would be the appropriate place for such a Polish officer to work.

VII. Gen.S. then put forward the matter of establishing his own liaison officer at the H.Q. of gen.E. or of gen.A..

He left that to gen.E. to decide.

Gen^S. agreed v;ith this and said that he would like to have an officer who would convey to him d.irectly the wishes of the Polish C.-in-C. He thought this officer ought to be attached at first to his own K.^., and then, as the need may arise, he might do liaison work also with gen.Alexander.
