cultural studies was evoked and many inspiring ideas have been found. It seems that there is an agreement among scholars in this field to use the term “cultural studies” to render the Polish name of studies in culture (literally “cultural science”). Today’s Polish cultural studies are preoccupied, among other things, with the impact of media, the use of internet, cultural policy issues and management of art. There is a widespread consensus about the cultural studies as an independent field of social scientific inąuiry.
