REO.UIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION TO THE PROFESSIONAL WORK QF THE SECOND PROFESSIONAL YEAR OF THE FIVE-YZAR PROGRAM IN THE COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
The Curriculum Committee and the Faculty of tbe College of Pharmacy have filed with the Secretary of the Faculty Council the proposals published te Iow relating to the reąuirements for admission to the professionał work of the Second Professional Year of the Five-Year Program in the College of Pharmacy. These proposals were approved by the Curriculum. Committee and the Faculty of the College of Pharmacy on Decemher 6. The Secretary bas classi-fied these proposals of exclusive applicatlon and primary interest only to a single school or college.
Notice is hereby given that thls legislation will be presented to the Board of Regents for adoption unieśs a slgned protest, with reasons, is received by the Secretary of the Faculty Council from a member of the Council wlthin five days of the datę of this publicatlon. If a protest is recetved, the proposed legislation will be presented to the Faculty Council for action at ita meeting of January 19, 1959*

RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
Change the materiał on pages Ik and 15 of the Pharmacy Catałogue No. 5905/ under the present heading, "Admission to the Professional work of the sophomore year," to read as follows (changes in paragraph 2 et seq. being underscored; these reąuirements will become effective on April 1, I96O, at whicb time i:he Five-Year Program for the Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy will become effective);

2. (a) If all of the work prescribed in the Catałogue for the first
Professional year in pharmacy has been completed prior to the session in which the admission to the above year is sought, the applicant may be admitted provided he has the 1.0 grade point average (C average) on all work under-taken, whether passed or failed. Work done at the Uniyersity of Texas and work done elsewhere will be averaged separately. Surplus grade points on work done here raay be used to raise the average on work done elsewhere.
Each Semester hour of A counts 3 points; B, 2; C, 1; D and F, O.
♦Courses in Sophomore English, preferably those corresponding to English 310 or 319M, may be transferred as a substitute for either of these courses.
