In the article the Authors present the results of some research on Warsaw housing market in 2009. The analyzed data on house transactions came from brokering system MLS WSPON. Every apartment is described by many quantitative and qualitative variables, among them the datę of entering and the datę of leaving the system because of the sale. The duration of an offer was set as the dependent variable directly or after the transformation into the ordinal variable. Therefore the ordered logit models were applied. The biggest influence on the quick transaction had the price of square meter and the area of the apartment. This approach is quite new on the house market and is the supplement to the statistical methods used so far.
