2.3.1.

Therapy for the deltoid, spinał part.

Starting Position: P: Supine; knees and hips flexed; arm flexed approximately 90° at shoulder. T: Standing at head of couch, facing obliąue to P’s left side.

Grip: T's right hand grips the dorsal side of P's elbow. The dorsal side of P’s forearm should lie along the medial side of T's forearm. T’s left hand stabilizes the lateral border of P's right scapula.

Fig. 12 a. Starting Position.

Procedurę: Using this grip, T gradually and fully flexes, adducts (over and behind P's head) and medially rotates at P’s shoulder.

Stimulation of Antagonists: T reverses right-hand grip to ventral side of elbow. T then asks P to move further in the direction of stretching, and resists that movement to stimulate P's antagonists.
