Glitter Reindeer

MATERIALS REQUIRED:
Black Card.
Copper Micro Glitter.
Photomount.
Copper Sequins, 5mm Circles and Stars.
8mm Red Circle Sequin.
4mm Wobbly Eyes.
Brown Craft Wire.
Tracing Paper and Pencil.
Gold Label Sticker: XL636U-24 Copper.
Sticky Fixers and Clear Tape.
Wire Cutters and Pliers.
Scissors or Craft Knife.
Card Mount: SF06U-45 Hammer White.
TO MAKE THE CARD:
Trace the reindeer s head and body from the
diagram and transfer to the black card. Cover the
unmarked side of the black card with photomount
before cutting out the pieces.
Place the reindeer pieces on a clean sheet of
paper and peel the backing from the photomount.
Firmly press the wobbly eyes and the red sequin for
the nose onto the sticky surface using the diagram
for position. Continue by adding the sequins using a
random mix of stars and circles.
Once you are happy with the look of the sequins
sprinkle copper glitter all over both reindeer pieces
and press it firmly onto the photomount between the
sequins. Shake off the excess glitter.
Cut three 12cm lengths of copper craft wire and,
using the diagram for the curved shape, make the
legs from two of them. Hold the end of the wire in
the pliers and bend it around to make a small loop for
each foot making sure to bend each in the direction
shown. Firmly tape both legs to the back of the body
making sure the feet are facing the right direction.
The antlers and ears are all made from one piece of
wire, bend them to shape using the diagram to guide
you then tape the wire shape to the back of the head.
Use sticky fixers to mount the reindeer onto the
card front then add the greeting and stars in the
top corner.

VARIATIONS:
This technique works really well for a variety of
Christmas shapes and different occasions too.
Blue Tree: A popular, chilly colour scheme. The tree
is decorated with flower sequins and the card has
snowflake decoration. Each snowflake has a little
touch of clear glitter glue and the star is cut with a
paper punch and covered with glitter.
Green Tree: I have decorated this tree using different
size stars and added some circles to imitate pretty
baubles. I decided on a contrasting pot.
Red Hearts: This anniversary card has one red
heart with pink sequins and one pink heart with red
sequins, these are mounted using sticky fixers over
a silver and white card panel.
Stars: The 21st birthday card has black and silver
card cut to a star shape, the black
card is glittered before the silver star is
added. The decoration on the numbers

themselves are stars and circles cut
from star sequin waste then glittered in
the same way as the other cards.
