Posterior ulna distal to origin of extensor
pollicis longus and interoseous membrane

Insertion

Extensor expansion of index finger with
extensor digitorum longus tendon

Actions

Extends the metacrpohalangeal joint of
the second finger and, with the
lumbricales and interossei, extends the
interphalangeal joints of the 2nd finger;
may assist in adduction of the 2nd finger

Radial nerve
