Tape Specification KT Method Confirmation Testing
Patient position:
Sitting or supine, with the leg supported
above the ankle joint. Dorsiflex the ankle joint
and evert the foot.
Examiner pressure:
Against the lateral side, dorsal surface of the
foot in the direction of plantar flexion and
inversion.
Note: The fibularis (peroneus) tertius is part
of the extensor digitorum longus and receives
assistance from it.
