Tape Specification

KT Method



Patient position: prone with the knee
fiexed to 90 degrees.



Apply the base of the tape to the
dorsal aspect of the 5th metatarsal.



Stabilize the base of the Kinesio Tex.



Apply the tape to the plantar surface
while applying severe (75%) available
tension to the central portion of the
tape.



Ask the patient to move into ankle
dorsiflexion.



Stabilizing the base of the tape, apply
the rest of the severe (75%) available
tension from the sustentaculum tali of
the navicular tarsal bone to the distal
tibia.
