will be met upon arrival and transferred to

Fly to Baltra Island, the embarkation point
for your Galapagos Island cruise aboard
Isabela II. Your shipboard home for the next
seven nights is ideally suited for exploration of
this amazing island archipelago, the remote
breeding grounds for some of the world’s
most unique wildlife. All shore landings will
be made by panga, zodiac-style rafts, on sandy
or rocky beaches, often requiring you to wade
ashore in shallow water. Enjoy an introductory
briefing before setting sail for North Seymour
Island for your first hike ashore; see colonies
of blue-footed boobies, frigate birds, sea lions
and marine iguanas. Join us for the Captain’s

Española (Hood) Island

Visit Hood Island today, home to the only
Galapagos colony of waved albatross. Get
your feet wet on an excursion to Gardner Bay
where you can stroll along the white coral
beach, go snorkeling or ride a glass-bottom
boat around the area’s islets. Take a walk on
the lava terrain of Punta Suarez, viewing
unique sea-bird colonies, marine iguanas and
the island’s famous blowhole. Meals BLD

Explore the fascinating history of the island
including Post Office Bay, featuring a “do-it-

yourself” postal service set up by 18th-century
whalers. Discover an olivine beach, pintail ducks,

Visit the Charles Darwin Research Center,
home to the islands’ famous giant tortoises.
Stroll down the main street of Puerto Ayora,
