for over two years. She was enrolled in a course I taught in the Spring of 2008, Sociology of 

Communication. I have had an opportunity to observe the student's participation and interaction in 

class and to evaluate the student's knowledge of the subject matter. I found her to be an committed 

and thoughtful student, who put a lot of effort to be always scrupulously prepared for class and has 

shown a strong desire to learn. During the time I have had multiple opportunities to recognize her 

great potential to pursue academic research and have been impressed with her enthusiasm and 

motivation. She has good communication skills, expressing herself well and listening to others with 

care. Anna has also shown interest not only in the subject of her studies (philosophy and theory of 

communication) but also activities outside the curriculum.  

As my letter may indicate to you, I think highly of Anna. I believe she will be an excellent addition
