business. On the agenda today for our
public relations meeting are the research
project, the launch of the website, the
timeline for press releases, and the
secretary of the year award. Are you quite
happy with those points?
Alex: Yeah, that’s fine. If you could go

Queen Elizabeth II
Elizabeth II b. 1926 is the queen of sixteen
independent
sovereign
states known as the
Commonwealth
, including
the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,
Jamaica and others. She holds each crown
separately and
equally
in a shared monarchy, as well as acting as
Head of
the Commonwealth
, and
Supreme Governor of the
Church of England
. As a constitutional
monarch
, she is
politically neutral and her role is largely ceremonial.
Elizabeth married Prince Philip,
Duke of Edinburgh
, and
the couple have four children. In the 1980s and 1990s, the
private lives of their children were subject to great press
attention, and contributed to
increased discontent
with
the monarchy, which reached its peak on the death of
Diana,
Princess of Wales
, in 1997.
