To develop the technique of shielding in a skills practice.

ORGANISATION:

3v3 practice

30 x 15 m grid

Same as before but now server joins in to create a 3v3 practice

Adjust your body shape to the flight of the ball & the space

KEY FACTORS:

Body between the opponent and the ball

The ball must be kept within touching distance of shielding player

Low centre of gravity

Present the surface to receive the ball

NOTES:

Isolate one attacker with one defender in the attacking area of the pitch
