TOPIC / THEME - To improve the players turning ability in a 1 (+2) practice

The 1^st server feeds the ball into a central player who receives the ball and turns before passing to the opposite server.

DESCRIPTION OF PRACTICE (TECHNIQUE / SKILL)

Turning with various surfaces of the foot - unopposed / opposed / in match

Screening - Take it & play it back

- Body position - Outside of the foot - screen or turn

ORGANISATION:

2x4 players with 2 balls per group

Pass forward & back - simple passing

Pass forward, turn & play

1^st touch with outside / inside of the foot

Use all surfaces of the foot

Progression to 1v1 matches in the centre

Progress to 3v3 matches in the centre

KEY FACTORS:

Getting half turned before receiving the ball Look over your shoulder to observe the defender 1^st touch needs to be to your advantage To create space, threaten the back of the defender.

NOTES:

All players should be patient & relaxed during this practice.
