Normal match situation

Apply all parts of good defending

Defenders distance from the attackers in relation to the ball loose far away, tighter nearer the goal.

Covering man applying the pressure from behind with support (balance) from the rest of the team mates.

Players must use previous knowledge from

previous sessions

KEY FACTORS: Good Decision Making

Pressure - closest man applies pressure to the ball

Cover - pressure on the ball & support from team-mates

Tracking - staying with your direct opponent when they attack / run into the space

Recovery Runs - in line with the ball & the goal

Delay - slowing up the attack, in order for support to get in place

Marking - closer to the goal the tighter the marking

React quickly when your team closes the ball

Sort out defensive responsibility early - communication
