Polish classical singer - jugendlich-dramatischer sopran.
Interpreter of contemporary music, opera and oratorio singer.
One of the greatest baroque singers in Poland. She has an
extensive over 3 octave voice scale, extraordinary skills,
excellent vocal technique and a unique dark timbre.
Anna Patrys studied at Karol Szymanowski Music Academy
in Katowice (Poland) in singing class of prof. Henryka
Januszewska-Stanczyk, and she participated in Masterclasses
of: prof. Grzegorz Artysz, Dr. Radosław Żukowski, prof. Eva
Blahova and prof. Eugeniusz Sąsiadek. Her vocal education
began in Stanisław Moniuszko Music School I and II degree
in Jelenia Góra in prof. Izabela Jeżowska, and then in the
Jacek Jaskuła singing class . In age 21 she made her opera
debut in Poland as Dido in H.Purcel's „Didio and Aeneas”.
Repertoire of Anna Patrys includes 15 operatic roles, 35 world premieres of contemporary music, over
110 cantatas and oratorios, about 100 contemporary works, more than 800 songs, more than 300 chamber works
and vocal major symphonies including Symphony of Sorrowful Songs by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, 9th
Symphony by L.v. Beethoven, Symphony "Lobgesang" by F. Mendelssohn - Bartholdy, Elegerunt Apostoli-
Sinfonia Sacra by M.Zieleński, W. Kilar - Angelus, as well as with an extensive and powerful vocal works written
for mezzo-sopranos such as symphonies by G.Mahler.
Anna Patrys is known for Her virtuoso concerts, on which she presents extremely difficult vocal
literature, including the famous Baroque arias written for castrati, presenting a unique and valued highly by music
critics vocal technique. She performs both, the greatest works of Baroque music as well as recently discovered
works. The result are inter alia concerts for the European Broadcasting Union with the popular series of
"Discoverys" as well as contemporary premieres, music publishing and cooperation with the highly valued
ensembles and solists like: Marek Toporowski, Władysław Kłosiewicz, Jan Tomasz Adamus, Agata Sapiecha,
Accademia Bizantina in Ravenna, Peter Wagner, Capella Cracoviensis, Camerata Silesia, Capella
Czestochoviensis.
She is the founder of the SUDETEN SINGING ARTISTS ASSOCIATION L'Orpheo.
