For the pillow, first sew the muslin
cover.  Stitch  long  edges  of  muslin
rectangle  together,  right  side
facing  in,  to  form  a  tube.  Sew
casings  on  narrow  edges,  leaving

edge  to  pull  cord  through.  Pull  a
length  of  cord  through  each
casing.  Use  the  cord  to  draw  one
end  closed  as  tightly  as  possible.
Stuff the pillow as firmly as desired.
Now  pull  the  cord  to  close  the
second  end.  Run  cord  ends
through  centers  of  closed  ends  to
inside.  Pull  the  pieced  cover  over
finished  pillow.  Gather  extending
ends together and use tie bands to
tie ends closed.

For  the  cover,  cut  pieces  A  to  C.
Sew  piece  A  between  pieces  B.
Finish  edges  of  allowances.  Stitch
long  edges  of  pieced  rectangle
together,  right  side  facing  in, to
form  a  tube.  Press  seam  open.
Finish  edges  of  allowances.  On
each  side  edge,  turn  under  1  cm
