Subject: Installation of Back-up Alarm (Part Number 1374798)
To properly install a back-up alarm onto the VXMU product, refer to figure A below.

Figure A illustrates how the alarm is electrically installed into the VNA unit. Wire in the alarm
at the main terminal strip in the control compartment of the VNA unit. Simply plug the wiring
as indicated into the appropriate terminal on the terminal block (Brown and White wire to
terminal 48, Red wire to terminal 4 and the Black wire to terminal 0). Then mount the alarm in
an appropriate location.
NOTE: - Field installation of this device will void an EE rating if so equipped.

The back-up alarm cannot be installed into the directional contactor wiring,
doing so will cause damage to the Traction Controller.
