Removing door stop
Removing door stop
1 Open the door halfway (about 40 degrees).
2 Remove the clip 1 and cylindrical bolt 2.
3 Press in the door stop arm.
4 Remove the grommet 3.

5 Remove the extra mat.
6 Remove the scuff plate.
7 On the driver's side: Remove the cover
from under the steering wheel and the
cover from over the steering column.
8 On the driver's side: Move aside the cover
with the exhaust brake switch.

9 Move aside the mat.
10 Unscrew the door stop and withdraw its
arm through the hole in the floor panel.
Refit the parts in reverse order.

9 Make a hook to hang the window on or use
a tie-wrap.

10 Wind up the window nearly all the way.
Place the small hook under the window
inside the panel. Hang the large hook over
the upper edge of the door. Lower the win-
dow until it is suspended by the hook or
tie-wrap.
11 Unplug the connector to the window
winder motor.
12 Detach the arm from the window winding
mechanism through the hole behind the
cover 11.
13 Remove the door catch link 13.

1 Remove the door handle by undoing the
two screws on the inside of the door.
2 Carefully remove the link 4 from the door

handle. Turn the door handle 90Ú and care-
fully detach the pullrod 3.

Fitting the door lock
4 Hold the guide rail to one side and with-
draw the lock and central locking motor
along the edge of the door.
Note: Take care not to break the guide rail
at the upper outer corner.
5 Unscrew the central locking motor from
the lock.
Change the lock.
6 If the changing the central locking motor,
unplug the cables running along the lower
edge of the door. Also remove the clips.

1 Attach the central locking motor to the lock.

2 Hold the guide rail to the side and coax
back the lock and central locking motor.
Note: Take care not to break the upper
outer corner of the guide rail.
3 If necessary, connect the cables to the
central locking motor and fit the clips.

1 Do up the screws in the lower outer edge of
the door which secure the guide rail 1.
2 Fit panel 12. Align the arm for the window
winder mechanism and fit cover 11.
3 Remove the hook or tie-wrap.
4 Fit the door catch link 13.
5 Connect the cables to the window winder
motor.
