1. T writes word permission on the board. They have 3 minutes to make as many words as they can from the letters. T elicits Ss words on the board.

2. Vocabulary: going out. Ss complete the text in pairs. Oral checks as a whole class.

3. Dialogue. T tells Ss that they are going to listen to 3 short conversations. They have time to read the 4 sentences. T plays the CD, Ss listen and mark the sentences true or false. Oral check. T plays the CD again, Ss choose the correct answers. Ss compare their answers. Oral check.

4. In pairs Ss complete the dialogues. T plays the CD, Ss listen and check their answers. T plays the cd again, stopping after each sentence. Ss repeat. Ex.5 Ss match the sentences. Oral check.

Ex.6 In pairs Ss make a date to go to the cinema. T encourages them to use the expressions from the two previous activities.

5. Read. Ss read Kate's message and answer the questions. T asks Ss to compare the answers. Oral check. T uses Remember! card to provide explanation.

In pairs, Ss write the full text message from the previous activity. T checks by asking one of the Ss to read aloud. Ss read the chat individually and answer the questions. Ss compare the answers.
