My first day at school.
It was the first of September 1985. I don't remember that day exactly. I can say that it was a very special and important day in my life. I was seven years old and I wanted to go to school. I woke up early that morning and put new white shirt and navy-blue trousers. The school year was starting at 9 a.m., however I was ready at half past seven a.m.
I was really wondering how the school looked like and what I would be doing there. When I went into the school it seemed to me to be very, very big. There were many children inside. I had never seen so many of them. I saw only a few friends. My mother showed me my class-room, and later left me alone, because she had to go to work. Me and about 30 children were sitting in class-room when suddenly a teacher went into the class. She was young and very nice. She had a beautiful smile. Our teacher told us about school and lessons.
After all I came back home with my friend and her mother. At home I packed books and exercise-books and I was ready for first lessons.
