Language nr 1 and 3 ( Polish and Czech )
Differences you are able to identify:
LETTERS/SOUNDS;
Vowels-
Polish has 6 oral vowels and 2 nasal vowels.
There are 10 vowels in Czech which are regarded as individual phonemes. There are 5 short and 5 long vowels.
Diphthongs: there are 3 diphthongs in Czech.
Consonants-
The polish consonant system shows more complexity. Its characteristic features include the series of affricates and palatal consonants that resulted from four Porto-Slavic palatalizations and two further palatalizations that took place in Polish and Belarusian.
Czech- the consonants in parentheses are regarded as allophones of other consonants.
The glottal stop - which appears as a separator between two vowels or word - initially before a vowel, is not considered a separate phoneme or an allophone of one.
