Aims of the lesson:

• to practice Past Simple and Past Continuous

• to expand on speaking skill

Students can:

• use Past Simple and Past Continuous tense correctly

• speak about their ordinary day

Students know:

• difference between Past Simple and Past Continuous

Teaching aids: blackboard, handouts with exercises

T reviews the rules of Past Continuous tense, then compare it with Past Simple and gives Ss handouts with exercises. Ss one by one read sentences and try to complete them using correct tense.
