P: This is City Radio. My name is Andy Cowle. Earlier, we asked people in the street, `What drives you mad on the road?' Here are some of their answers.

M1: I can't stand it when people drive very slowly. They usually go out at the weekend, and drive very slowly on country roads where it's impossible to overtake them.

W1: I hate it when people park their cars on the pavement. The road is for cars - the pavement is for pedestrians!

M2: I hate it when drivers indicate to turn left … and turn right! … or go straight on! It's so dangerous!

W2: Well, I don't like getting stuck in traffic jams. In my city, the rush hour in the morning, and in the evening, is awful. I try to work at home as much as possible.

M3: Road works drive me mad, especially on the motorway. You go on the motorway to save time, and then you get stuck in a traffic jam because of road works.

W3: It drives me mad when people use their mobile phones in the car. I nearly had an accident last week because this woman was talking on her phone and she didn't see the traffic lights turn red. She nearly killed me.
