Generation Gap

The topic of the common relation between parents and their children seems to dominate our reality. Whose rights are appropriate ? What is the reason for the typical attitude of teenagers whose basis aim is to revolt against their parents instead of choosing the peaceful method. The problem between the younger and older generation to communicate or understand each other is as old as the hills. Parents and grandparents quarrel very often. There are problems which cannot be solved easily. Mother or father don't want to obey the rules laid down by grandparents. Who has own ideas about raising children or housekeeping. Mother thinks that has the right to decide about everything in her own house. Mother object to it and they often argue about such things as sharing the kitchen, helping around the house or spending money. Young people suffer from argues of their parents and grand parents. Psychologists say that most young people experience conflict during the period of adolescence. Conflicts inevitable arise because young people feel that they have a right to be independent. Parents seem to be enemies. Who do not let them stay out late, wear the clothes they want to wear, or be close to friends they like. The period of adolescence is inseparably connected with making important decisions, such as choosing a career path. Difficulties in the relationships with parents may lead to such serious problems as the use of alcohol, drugs, the refusal to attend school, running away from home. In such cases screaming an velling usually does not work. Young turn to crime. Most young lawbreakers come from pathological families in which they are abused or neglected cannot count on the parents who are usually unemployed, addicted to alcohol or drugs and do not set an example. Among the reasons why teenagers commit crimes is also peer pressure. Parents are very strict, bossy but they care about their children. They control their friends and ask many questions about friends. It irritates children. Parents want help children, want be tolerant but make a child a limit and he/she is unable to express his or her emotions and form nature relationship. Young people don't understand it.

The problem of the mutual relation between parents and their children appears to be still unsolved. However the ways of understanding do exist and they of understanding do exist and they are based on the mutual tolerance and trust.
