Use 1 strand of ea yarn held tog as 1 throughout and the larger hk.
Foundation: Ch 2, turn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk, pm. do not turn.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in ea st - 12 sts.
Rnd 3: (Sc in next st. 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times - 18 sts.
Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times - 24 sts.
Cont with 6 inc in ea rnd until you work a rep of (sc in the next 7 sts, and 2 sc in the next st) for a total of 54 sts.
Work even in dc for 13 rnds.
To level off last rnd at rim, work hdc in next 3 sts, then sc in next 3 sts.
Weave in ends.
Use the thin blend yarn and the smaller hk.
Foundation: Ch 150, turn.
Row 1: Ch 1, sc in 2nd ch from hk and ea ch across.
Weave in ends.
Thread one end of the tie with a large tapestry needle. Weave in and out of the second row from the top edge, passing over and under 5 stitches. For the last few stitches, you will need to pass over 3 or 4 stitches so that both ends meet on the outside of the bag. Tie the ends into a bow.
Weave the tie in and out along the second row of the top edge.
Pelt in the washer, checking occasionally to see if the bag is completely felted. When the bag is felted i o the desired texture, adjust to the finished shape and let dry in a warm. dry place.
