Foundation: Ch 12, turn.

Rnd 1: Sc in back half of 2nd ch from hk and ea ch to last ch, 3 sc in back half of last ch, working back up the other side of the ch, sc in the other half of ea ch to the lst ch, 3 sc in the lst ch, pm, do not turn.

Rem rnds: Work sc in ea st, making 2 sc 3 times at ea end of the piece, by either making the 2 sc in the center of the previous 2 sc, or by changing the placement by 2 or 3 sts so it doesn't make a noticeable patt. Cont until piece is approx 9" x 11", then work without inc until piece measures approx 13 V x 16 W.

Weave in ends.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hk, pm, do not turn.

Rnd 2: 2 sc in ea st * 12 sts.

Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times - 18 sts.

Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) rep 6 times - 24 sts.

Cont with 6 inc in ea rnd until you work a rep of (sc in the next 9 sts, 2 sc in the next st) for a total of 66 sts.

Felt in the washer, checking occasionally to see if the pieces aro completely felted. When the pieces are felted to the desired texture, adjust to the finished shape and let dry in a warm, dry place.
