• 2 pink
• 1 green

• Sewing needle and thread to match yarn color

Project before felting.
Foundation: Ch 90.
Rnd 1: Join into a circle by dc in the back half of the lst ch, being careful to keep the ch untwisted, dc in the back half of ea ch around.
Cont with dc in ea st until you run out of yarn.
Weave in ends.
Baste top and bottom openings closed with cotton cord. Felt in the washer, checking occasionally until yarn is completely felted. Remove the basting stitches, adjust to rectangle shape and let dry in a warm, dry place
Project after felting.
Cut the pink felt into a long triangle, 15" long and 3" tali at one corner. Round the 3" end.
Beginning at the 3" end, roli the triangle up into a tight coil so the bottom is all the same level and the top is tali in the center.
Sew the bottom together with the sewing needle and thread.
Cut three petal shapes from the pink felt using the pattern on the next page.
Sew petals to the side of the flower center, overlapping each petal as you attach it.
Cut the leaf shape from the green felt, using the leaf pattern on the next page.
Optional: Machine-stitch lines in the leaf to simulate veins.
Sew the leaf to the bottom of the flower.
Felt again, if desired, to soften the cut edges of the flower.
