How to succeed in negotiation?

The negotiations are a long-term process and do not begin with sitting for talks. The success of the negotiations is also determined by the magnitude of work done earlier in the adequate preparation to them. You need to know as much as possible about the target of the negotiations, your company, the competition and your partner even before the start of the negotiations. You should also develop a plan, establish objectives and their hierarchy. Consider the issues to discuss, analyse strong points and weak points and develop a strategy for proceeding.

This helps to avoid chaos during the negotiations. Confidence in the negotiations can be improved by the preparation of several versions of Solutions depending on the moves of the other party.
