Amigurumi World

I was bom In Montevideo. the Capital city of Uruguay. I leamed to croctiet there when I was seven years old. and i've been crocheting for over 20 years. Once my daughters. Oli and Martina, were born. I lost paltence (and no longer liad time) for long. elaborate projects. so I started making little toys for them instead. Searcbing ihe internet.

I discoyered amazing pictures of amlgurumi. which is roughly translated from Japanese as "kmtted stuffed toy.‘ The little toys were exlremely cute and I wanted to make some, but I couldn't find any patterns in English— so I started making my own. A couple of toys later. I was totally hooked and couldn’t stop. I'm surę you'11 find making these little creatures as addictive and fun as I have.

Most of the “amls" (as they're affectionately called) in the book can I linished in a couple of hours and mak great presents for kids and grownups alike (lots of people are now collectinj them). Amigurumi are crocheted in the round, mainly using a simple crochet stitch. and they’re easy and fun. After you make a couple of toys. you'11 be designing your own in no time!
