Installation

Installation

1.    Ensure timing marks aligned (2) & (4).

2.    If cylinder head cover removed: Ensure camshaft sprocket rear timing mark aligned (9).

NOTĘ: Notch aligned with upper cylinder head face.

3.    Fit timing belt in anti-clockwise direction, starting at crankshaft sprocket.

4.    Attach tension gauge to belt at^. Tool No.210.

5.    Tum tensioner clockwise until tension gauge indicates 13-14 units. Use wrench Matra V.159.

6.    Tighten tensioner bolt. Tightening torque: 25 Nm (M8)/45 Nm (M10) [8].

7.    Remove tension gauge. Tum crankshaft two turns clockwise.

8.    Ensure timing marks aligned (2) & (4).

9.    Recheck belt tension.

NOTĘ: Belt is correctly tensioned wlien it can just be twisted with finger and thumh through 90° at^.

10.    Install components in reverse order of removal.

11.    Tighten crankshaft pulley bolts. Tightening torque: 20 Nm [5].

NOTĘ: Crankshaft pulley bolt holes are offset.
