WINGS - One-Sided Comb (page 3)

Start with a fuli length 8RIGHT WHITE paper strip. Make a four-looped wing around prong H4,1(3 and 1(2 using the "one-sided" combing technique. Make two wings.

HEAD - 8" (20 cm) Tight Circle

Roli a BLACK paper strip and do not lot it uncoil. Glue the end to the roli to make a tight circle.

ANTENNA - 1" (2.5 cmi V Scrol

Fold a BLACK paper strip in half. Roli each end outward.

BODY - Wheatears i nacie 7)

Follow the next steps to create błack and yellow striped body:

1. ) With a YELLOW paper strip, make the first loop around prong #2. Trim off the extra paper length.

2. ) Gluo a BLACK paper strip at the top of prong #1. Make a loop around prong #3. Trim off any excess.

3. } Glue a YELLOW paper strip at the top of prong 1(1. Make a loop around prong #4. Trim off any cxcess.

4. ) Glue a BLACK paper strip at the top of prong #1. Make a loop arcund prong #5. Trim off any excess.

5. ) Pinch a point at one end to make the ‘stinger".

Layout the pieces like the patiem above. Glue wings to the bee's body. Then glue the body and anlenna to the bee's head.

Start with a fuli length ULAĆ paper strip. Make a four-locped wing arour.d prong #6, #5, #4. and #3 using the "one-sided" combing technigue. Repeat to make the otherwing.

HEAD - 6" M5 cm) Teardrop Roli a LILAC paper strip into a loose circle (S!ZE 5). Pinch a point to make a leardrop. For the beak, fold a 1/2" paper strip in half and glue to the teardrop point.

BODY -16" (40 cml Teardroo

Roli a LILAC paper strip into a loose circle (SIZE 1). Pinch a narrow teardrop shape with a very fiat point for the taił. Tip: Add glue to the paper edges at the pinched point. Then hołd and (et the narrow teardrop shape dty.

Layout the pieces like the pattern above Glue the head to the body. Then glue the wings to the body.

Follow the next steps to create the rainbow colored wing:

I.} With a LILAC paper strip, make the first loop around prong t?2. Then create an over-lapping loop around prong #3. Trim off the exlra paper length.

2) Glue a LIGHT 8LUE paper strip at the top of prong #1. Make a loop around prong #4. Trim off

any exce$$.

3. ) Glue a MINT GREEN paper strip at the top of

prong #1. Make a loop around prong #5. Trim off any excoss.

4. ) Glue a PALE YELLOW paper strip at the top of prong #1. Make a loop around prong #6. Trim off any excess.

5. ) Glue a PINK paper strip at the top of prong #1. Make a loop around prong "7. Trim off any excess.

6. ) Repeat to make two wings. Pinch a point on one wing.

13 ()I)Y AND ANTENNA - Wheatear foacie 7)

With a LIGHT BLUE paper strip, hook the paper around prong #1. Then create over-lapping loops around prong #2, *3. #4 and #5. To make the antenna. Ieave an extra 1" length at top of the wheatear for the antenna.

Cul with scissors to make the antenna.

Trim the paper in | half lengthwise.

Roli each length in the same direction. Pinch a point on the other end of the body for the taił.

Layout the pieces like the pattem above. Glue the butterfly wings to the body.

POINTS - A^ernating Sides Comb (page 3)

Start with a fuli length RED paper strip. Make a five-looped petal around prong 5_; U4. and U3 using the "alternating sides combing technigue. Repcnt to mąko the other points. Press the loops fiat and glue the two points together.
