ANGELS
ANGELS
N B. Altemate Side Looping is described in detail in Jane Jenkins’ Techniques in Ouilling No. 1.
First make the musie stave.
1 Draw a wavy linę on the narrow piece of card provided
2 Carefully cut it out and practise drawing lines along it with a fine liner.
3 Draw the five stave lines at the bottom of your greetings card and add any musical notes, etc., you like. This could be a real Christmas carol or just any representation.
4 Quill the angels and add them to the card.
Strips are rolled as tightly as possible, with little or no hole at the centre and the end glued firmly down. Because the weight of the paper strip may vary it is often impossible to say the exact length of strip required for a solid coil A better way is simply to roli until the coil is the reguired diameter.
CONE COILS
Make a solid coil and push it into a point. A cocktail stick or some other tool may be necessary to do this. It will be stronger if you either coat it or fili it with glue and then allow it to dry.
RING COILS
Put a dot of glue on the end of a strip and make it into a circle - Perhaps around a dowel of some kind. Keep wrapping the strip around tightly until the ring is as thick as required. Glue down the end and shape the coil if required
N B. Solid Coils, Cup Coils and Cone Coils and their uses are descnbed m Jane Jenkins’ Fourth Instruction Book and in detail in Jane Jenkins* Second Ouilling Video.
