Hoppy Spring?
Leap into spring with this pond display. Coverthe board with blue background paper. Add a large lily pad cut from green paper and smaller lily pads by cutting triangle notches into green paper plates. Write upcoming class events on the plates. Cut out and color copies of the sitting frog pattern (page 68) and leaping frog pattern (page 73) to attach to the board. Make cattails with rolled sheets of brown paper attached to green strips of paper at the bottom and a pipę cleaner at the top. Water lilies can be cut from paper and glued to green paper plates.

Brighten up rainy spring days with this cheerful bulletin board.Cover the board with blue background paper. Design a rainbow from strips of colored paper or draw one using markers or paint. Accent the scene with a decorated sun pattern (page 102) and copies ofthecloud pattern ipage 71).Give each studenta copy of the umbrella pattern (page 71) to color and cut out. On the umbrella patterns, have students write about special class events. Display them on the board. Create a -a n sh : wer effect by cutting out and coloring several copies of the raindrop pattern (page 71) and displaying iengths of blue yarn on the board.
