Beyond Spring Gate

Spring, with its perfumed breezes and lavish bouquets of new flowers, is the season of romance. In Spring, the song of new life fills the air and thrills our hearts. Every blooming gate promises to lead us into a paradise where love and peace prevail. In "Beyond Spring Gate,” the second in my Spring Gate collection, I tried to fulfill that promise by leading my collectors to a vernal paradise.

Candamar Designs Inc. is proud to present this beautiful counted cross stitch interpretation of a cherished Thomas Kinkade design. In order to preserve the Thomas Kinkade artistic detail he is so noted for, we consider this cross stitch leaflet an intermediate skill level design. His art is precisely charted for color and stitch selection to recreate his masterpiece for your enjoyment.

Fabric: This design was originally stitched on 14-count white cotton Aida. 28-count evenweave can be used by stitching over two threads to create the same dimension. If you choose a different count fabric, be surę to adjust the cut size.

Floss: If stitching on a 14-count fabric, it is suggested you use 2 plies of a 6 ply floss. Separating the floss into individual plies and then reassembling them in the suggested usage will provide better coverage of the fabric. Ali of the colors used for this design reąuire approximately one skein each, except DMC #’s 318, 775, 934 & 3051, which require two skeins each, and #415, which reąuires three skeins. If you stitch this Thomas Kinkade design on another count of fabric, it is important to adjust the number of strands accordingly.

It is suggested you begin stitching in the center of the fabric or in the upper left hand corner. Remember: To assure a beautiful finished picture, be surę the top stitch of each “X” crosses in the same direction.
