“Out at..." means bring the nccdlc from the back of the work through to the front. "In at..." means take the needle from the right sidc of the work through to the back. Suggested colours: antiquc gold thread on hammered white card.
Badgc.
Out at A in at B.
Out at C in at D.
Out at E in at F.
Out at G in at H.
Stitch the left side ol thc badgc in a similar way using the illustration as a guide.
Out at 1 in at 2.
Out at 3 in at 1.
Out at 4 in at 3.
Out at 5 in at 4.
Continue to stitch the hat band in a similar way using the illustration as a guide.
Top and peak.
Work the top and peak outlines in stem stitch using the illustration as a guide.
Wheel.

Out at M in at N. Continue this sequencc until spoke 1 is completc using the illustration as a guide.
Stitch the other spokes in a similar way using the llnished illustration as a guide.
Out at O in at P.
Out at Q in at R.
Out at S in at T.
Continue this seąucnce until grip 1 is completc using the illustration as a guide.
Stitch the other grips in a similar way using the finishcd illustration as a guide.
