“Out at..means bring the needle from the back of the work through to the front. “In at..means take the needle from the right side of the work through to the back. Suggested colours: confetti thread on white card.
Cat.
Taił.
Out at 1 in at 2.
Out at 3 in at 4.
Out at 5 in at 6.
Continue this seąuence until the taił is complete using the illustration as a guide.
Paw 1.
Out at A in at B.
Out at C in at D.
Out at E in at F.
Continue this seąuence until paw 1 is complete using the illustration as a guide.
Stitch the other paw in a similar way.
Out at G in at H.
Out at I in at J.
Out at K in at L. Continue this seąuence until ear 1 is complete using the illustration as a guide.
Stitch the other ear in a similar way.
Head and body outline.
Work the head and body outline in stem stitch using the illustration as a guide.
Nose and whiskers.
Stitch the nose, mouth and whiskers using the illustration as a guide.
Eyes.
Work the eye outlines in backstitch.
Draw the eyeballs with a black pen or pencil.
Bell.
Work the beli outline in stem stitch.
Clapper.
Stitch the clapper using the illustration as a guide.
Mouse.
Head, body and taił.
Work the head, body and taił in stem stitch.
Arms and legs.
Work the arms and legs in backstitch using the illustration as a guide.
Tree branch.
Out at M in at N.
Out at O in at N.
Out at P in at N.
