“Out at...” means bring the needle from the back of the work through to the front. “In at...” means take the needle from the right side of the work through to the back. Suggested colours: confetti thread on white card.
Mouse.
Work the mouse in stem stitch using the finished illustration as a guide.
Mouse reflection.
Work the mouse reflection outline in stem stitch using the illustration as a guide. Stitch the nose and whiskers using the illustration as a guide. Draw the eyes with a black pen or pencil.
Bauble outline.
Out at 1 in at 2.
Out at 3 in at 4.
Out at 5 in at 6.
Continue this seąuence until the outline is complete using the illustration as a guide.
String and top.
Stitch the string and top using the illustration as a guide.
Tree branch.
Out at A in at B.
Out at C in at B.
Out at D in at B.
Out at E in at B.
Out at F in at G.
Out at H in at G.
Out at I in at G.
Out at J in at G.
Continue stitching in this way until the branch is complete using the illustration as a guide. Work the stem in stem stitch.
