Leaf l.
Out at 1 in at 2.
Out at 3 in at 2.
Out at 4 in at 2.
Out at 5 in at 2.

Working from side to side helps keep the thread flatter at hole 2.
Stitch the other leaves in a similar way using the finished illustration as a guide.

Work the scrolls in stem stitch using the illustration as a guide.
Altemative greeting: Cut out the Happy Birthday pricking pattem and mount it on the border pattem of your choice.
