Sub-Litharenite
Litharenites are sandstones containing recognizable rock fragments in addition to individual minerał grains. 115 shows a sandstone in which quartz is the dominant grain type, showing elear in the photograph, but which contains a substantial num-ber of rock fragments. Many are of fine-grained sedimentary or metasedimentary rocks and are dark grey or brownish in colour. Rock fragments in this sediment make up less than 25% of the grains and it would thus be classified as a sub-litharenite.
