9.    Over a sink, carefully replace the lid on jar, placing the figurines inside of the jar and allowing excess water and air to escape.

10.    Twist the lid shut and let dry.

11.    Glue the strand of pearls around the lid.

12 Decorate the jar’s top by gluing on paddlewheel and faceted beads.

I. Ask an adult to help you cut a 1" diameter slice off the bottom of the foam bali using the serrated knife. Lightly sand the seam of the foam bali to make it smooth. Paint the bali head with two coats of Flesh Tonę and let dry.

Ask an adult to use a glue gun to glue the cut edge of the bali to the top of the Renuzit topper. 2 Sand the base of the Renuzit to a rough sur-face. Paint with two coats of Kelly Green and let dry. Cut the coat from Pirate Green felt according to the pattern on page 29. Wrap and glue the coat around the topper, overiapping edges at center back.

3. Cut a 3’ x 4" rectangle from Pirate Green felt. Roli and glue into a cylinder with 4" edges slightly overlapping. For the cuff, cut a 3/4" x 3’ piece of White plush felt and glue around the lower edge of the sleeve. For the shoulder, crimp the narrow end of the sleeve, tuck under the ends, and glue to the top of the coat as shown on the following page. Repcat to make and attach the other sleeve. Ask an adult to use craft snips to cut two 4" lengths of chenille stems. Insert and glue the stems to the shoulder end of the sleeves. Stuff the sleeves slightly with fiberfill.
