Regulations:

SOLAS Chapter II-2, Rcgulation 28.1.10, requires all fire equipment location markings to be photoluminescent materiał or marked by lighting.

Installation:

Each item of fire fighting equipment should be marked with the appropriate symbol. Where various types of equipment are M stored at one location, 'Fire Point' signs may be used. When equipment in an alley or corridor is stowed in a recess or locker, then a panoramie sign, mounted well above head height should be used to enable the equipment to be identified from a distance (see inside front cover for details of viewing distances).

Any space protected by a CO, blankcting system must have all entrance doors and hatches marked by the appropriate sign. See signs 5876 KJ & 7545 KJ at the top of this page.

All elevator entrances should be marked with sign 6300JJ.

Fire extinguishers may be further identified as to their use with signs 6410KG to 6413KG which comply with European Rcgulation EN 3.
