Using Caramel shape a 1/2" bali and two 3/8" balls. Place the 1/2 and 3/8" balls togefher. Shape remaining bali into a triangle and place point down befween the seams. Flatten a 1/2" błack bali and shape as shown for sole. Blend all seams on boot until smooth and add stitch markings as desired. Press black sole to bottom of foot. Puli out the top of the boot.

I used scrap clay for the inside of the legs. Roli a lumpy log 1/2” diameter approximately 2" long. Wrap Windsor blue around log. Repeat for second leg. Create points at both ends. Press one end into boot. (Think LUMPY A STUFFED for pant leg) Repeat.

Roli a 2” bali and wrap with blue clay. Press legs to each side of bali (my scarecrow has a little bum in the back that you can't seel He he.. create this by making an indentation with the needle tool.)

Mix 1 part caramel to 4 parts Indian red . Create a 2" bali and shape into a rounded triangle for body. Press onto legs.

Arms are madę the same way as legs only slightły shorter. Press onto body. Draw in any details you may like such as a plaid shirt. (Think STUFFED A LUMPY)

Hands: Roli two 1/2" Sahara balls. Slightły flatten. Press an indentation in one side of the hond separating the thumb and the hand. (think of a mitten)

Head: Flatten sahara clay and cut out a 2" circle. Cut a smali circle out in the center for the neck placement. Roli a 1 1/2" bali of sahara and shape into a rounded tnangle with no point at top. Press circle to bottom of neck. I use a pencil to place my head on while I'm working. Drów in gather marks at the bose of the head and the neck. Remem ber you've just stuffed his head with hay and now you have to tie it

off. So, think of how the

gather marks would be if this was done with fabric.
