Using the beading thread and beading needle, follow the illustrations below to create the beaded strap, securing it on one end with stitches into the top corner of the bag and on the other end either with the optional clasp or with additional stitches directly into the bag.

Foundation: Ch 10. turn.
Rnd 1: Ch 2. working in the back half of the chs, hdc in 3rd ch from hk and ea ch across to last ch,
3 hdc in last ch, working in the other half of the chs, hdc in 8 ch. 3 hdc in last ch, pm, do not turn.
Rnd 2 - 18: Hdc in ea st around. Weave in ends.

Baste the opening closed with the cotton cord. Felt in the washer, checking occasionally to see if the case is completety felted. When the case is felted to the desired texture. remove the basting stitches, adjust to the finished shape and let dry in a warm, dry place.
