Laboratory studies:

o Transaminase levels

• Aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alaninę aminotransferase (ALT) begin to rise within 24 hours postingestion and peak at about 72 hours.

Toxicity is defined as serum AST or ALT levels greater than 1000 IU/L.
