• Size 3 (6 mm) hook
• About 20 coins or other items to use as weights
• Cotton cord
• Tapestry needle
• Sewing needle and thread to match yarn color

Foundation: Using solid color yarn, ch 12, turn.
Row 1: Ch 2, hdc in 3rd ch from hk and ea ch across - 13 sts.
Row 2 - 17: Ch 2, hdc in ea st across.
Cut working yarn to 24" from crocheting, puli through last Ip on hk and weave in beg taił. Set aside.
Foundation: Using multicolored yarn, ch 42, turn.
Row 1: Ch 2, hdc in 3rd ch from hk and ea ch across - 43 sts.
Row 2 - 14: Ch 2, hdc in ea st across.
Weave in ends. Set aside.

Foundation: Using solid color yarn, ch 3, turn.
Row 1: 11 hdc in 3rd ch from hk. join to top of ch-3 to form circle.
Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in lst st, 2 hdc in ea st around, join to top of ch-2 with sl st - 24 sts.
Row 3: Ch 2, hdc in lst st, (hdc in next st, 2 hdc in next st) rep to last st, hdc in last st, join to top of ch-2 with sl st - 36 sts.
Weave in ends. Set aside.
