Notę that changes occur in all forms of these verbs and that a different change affects the nosotros and yosotros forms: e changes to i, and o changes to u.

Los meteorólogos dudan que sintamos los efectos de la tormenta aqui.

El gerente del hotel prefiere que los perros no duerman en el lobby. Dudo que el pida un descuento.

The meteorologists doubt that wefeel the effects of the storm here.

The hotel manager prefers that the dogs (do) not sleep in the lobby.

I doubt that heli askfor a discount.

-lar and -uar verbs in the present subjunctive have an accent mark on the i or u, except the nosotros and Yosotros forms. (Notę the usual accent mark on the e of the second-person plural.)
