Interrogative Words and Expressions in Indireet ^uestlons

Interrogative words may also be incorporated into sentences as indireet questions. Indireet ques-tions restate a direct question that has been posed by a third person.

Tu papa pregunta que necesitas.    Your dad asks (is asking) whatyou need.

El quiere saber adónde vas.    He wants to know where you are going.

Remember that the interrogative words incorporated into indireet questions require accent marks. Indireet questions may be in different tenses. The example below is in the past + futurę tense.

El pasajero preguntó a que hora    Thepassenger asked at what time the train

saldra el tren para Bilbao.    will leave for Bilbao.
