The long hinged quarter Windows follow the contour of the roof to the rear. It is interesting to notę that the guarter windowa have no hinges. Starting from the lock pillar approximately one third of the window is firmly located. The narrower part of the glass bends on being opened. The new fasteners are easier to operate and engage automatically in the respective end positions.

The exterior of the Variant 1600 remains unchanged except for the chrome grip moulding on the front hood which on all 1600 models now extends over the fuli width of the hood.
