Located in the Pudong District in Shanghai’s Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zonę, the project is a multi-use developmcnt incorporating ofTices, a hotel, retail, service amenities, and parking. The tower recalls historie Chinese pagoda forms, with setbacks that create a rhythmic pattern. Its artieulated metallic surface captures changes in the light during the day, while at night the shaft and top are illuminated. At 1,380 feet, the tower and its spire are a significant addition to the Shanghai skyline.
The 88-story tower houses hotel and ofFice spaces, with the hotel rooms in the top 38 stories affording impressive views of the city and the surrounding region. Office spaces, in the lower 50 stories, are easily accessed by employees and visitors; parking for 1,200 is located bclow grade.
A seven-story vertical shopping center adjacent to the basc of the tower and a landscaped courtyard with reflecting pool and seating at the tower base provide visitors with a peaccful retreat.
